Taken Bactrim For UTI. Have Burning Urination, Gross Hematuria. Family History Of Cancer. Suggestions?

I had a uti on Friday that was treated with Bactrim DS 2 X day for 3 days. I went beck to the Dr yesterday d/t continuing mild symptoms. The U/A was negative for WBC and nitrogen. Vet his morning I had sever burning when ruination and gross hematuria. I am 54 yo white female no smoking x 11 years, non drinker. My husband just finished chemo for BC. My grandmother died from Bladder cancer. What do you suggest. I have an appointment with a urologist on Friday.

Hi, it appears that you had urinary tract infection only, but it might be along with the stone in the uriter, which might be causining frank hematuria. If it is micro hematuria, it could be due to residual infection. So don't worry about the blood in urine . You will be fine soon after consulting the urologist. Thank you.
