TSH Level 2.14. On Hypothyroid Medication. Previous Ivf Cycles Failed. Is It Ok To Start Ivf Cycle?
My TSH level is at 2.14. Im dues to start my 7th IVF cycle . All previous 6 failed . Ive read that TSH levels should be bettween 1-2 for ivc. Im on medication for hypothyroid. 2 months ago my TSH was at over 6 and after 7 weeks of increased medication it went down to 2.14. Ive also read that fertility drugs increase TSh. I want to make sure im ok to start IVF as this is my last try.
Hello, Although the normal range of TSH is .3 to 3.0 but for IVF to succeed,it is better to have your TSH levels between 1 and 2. Although thete can be other reasons for the failure of IVF,but you won't know it unless you fix your TSH. This becomes all the more important if you have HASHIMOTOS tthuroiditis. So you should get your antibodies level also checked up. In my opinion you may wait little more, get the anti bodies checked up and try to bring your TSH below 2. Since you don't have more chances to go for IVF,it is better to be prepared properly. Discuss about tjis with your GYNECOLOGIST. Thanks
