Swollen, red, itchy, fluid filled bump on the knuckle of index finger. Treatment?
Yesterday I noticed that the knuckle at the base of my index finger was reddened and a little itchy. There was a small spot which appeared to have fluid in it when squeezed - a bit like a small heat bump, Today the knuckle is starting to swell. I can move my finger and little pain yet, just a bit tight from the swelling . What would you reccomend?

A course of an antibiotic along with anti inflammatory medicine like ibuprofen should settle the problem.
