I had three fillings done last wednesday on my upper right side, starting behind the canine tooth and the fillings were inbetween the teeth. The next day I hoticed that the little piece of skin above the canine was painful, I think its called a fenula, the next day it was swollen to a point where i noticed it in my mouth and really hadnt ever paid it much attention prior. Hello,

The swelling at the site of restoration done, may be due to-overfilling or deep carious lesion involving pulp of the filled tooth causing pain.

Based on the clinical interpretation, tooth has to be either re-filled or root canal treated.

Please do visit a dentist for further reference.

To relieve pain amoxycillin and diclofenac tab.has to be administered.

Hope this helps.
