Swollen, Itchy Warm Area On Breast, Excretion Of Pus. Taken Benadryl, Cordizone. No Relief. Should I Get Medical Help?

I have a swollen, itchy, warm area on my breast . Yesterday it felt like something bit bit me but I m not sure. The tender area seems to be spreading and at the center there is a spot that excretes pus . I ve taken benadryl as well as putting cordizone on the affected area but it doesn t seem to lessen the tenderness. Should I go to the doctor?

Hello ma'am and welcome.

The oozing of pus is a sign of an infection and so I would urge you to visit a doctor and get yourself diagnosed and treated.

I would advise against self medicating. In the meantime, please keep the region clean and dry and if possible use a sterile bandage and apply it to the region till you can meet your doctor.

Hope this helps.

Best wishes.
