Swollen Feet, Painful To Touch. What Is Wrong?

Hi, My fiancée has swollen feet , but one is constantly swollen. Now, it does not even go down as it used to. She feels much pain and also it now becomes hard when you touch the swollen part, not everywhere though. When you press the swollen part, it sinks and creates a depression and then takes sometime to comeback up. So what is wrong with her?

Hi friend,
Welcome to Health Care Magic

This is called pitting oedema.
If it is on both sides, systemic causes like diseases of heart, kidney or liver / hypo-protein-emia, anaemia and so on should be investigated.

If it is on one side only, local causes are to be investigated.

See your doctor for physical examination and appropriate help

Take care
Wishing speedy recovery
God bless
Good luck
