Swollen, Bruised And Sore Elbow, No Pain Moving The Elbow With Complete Feeling In Fingers. History Of Direct Impact On Elbow. Serious?

Hi, three days ago I had a direct impact on my right elbow. My elbow is swollen, bruised and sore constantly - especially to touch. I am not receiving any pain moving my elbow (apart from kind of sore muscles near the area, not sure if its related..). I have complete feeling in my fingers. Is there anything wrong? Should I go to hospital or is it just a bruise?

Orthopaedic Surgeon, Joint Replacement 's  Response
Hello,
Thanks for writing to us

From description it seems to be soft tissue injury .
You need an x-ray to rule out any bony injury.
I suggest you to consult an orthopaedician nearby for a detailed examination. You may get the X-ray of the area affected under his/her guidance.Beside icing and elevating it, you can take anti-inflammatory drug like motrin to reduce pain and inflammation. Avoid lifting weight and rest well.

I do hope that you have found something helpful and I will be glad to answer any further query.
