Hi ! With the earlier history of fracture and tear of muscles, you might have again torn your muscles if no fracture was found in the x- ray. Possibly it may be a hematoma due to tear of muscle fibres again, which is causing the swelling and pain. However, if the pain with swelling increases, and your movements of the arm gets restricted more and more, then I would suggest you take a second opinion from an orthopedician who may apart from going for a repeat x ray, may also apply a plaster cast to give your arm complete rest to recover.
Wishing you an early recovery.
