Swollen And Red Knuckle After Cut. Put Stitch And Plaster, No Antiseptic. Should I Go To Doctor?

Hi on Thursday night cut my bottom knuckle with a glass whilst washing it. I put it under water and then applied a butterfly stitch on it to close it up. And put a plaster on the top,Didn t put antiseptic on it.on Friday morning it swollen and red with a slight darker colour like bruising. Saturday night took plaster off. And it s still swollen now is it normal or should I go to doctor

Ho there,
It seems like there is a bit of inflammation going on,I would suggest not to apply any anti septic on the area as it can irritate it more.
I would suggest to start applying Bacitracin ointment two times a day and Tablet Ibuprofen 400 mg three times ,after your main meaks,a day for five days.(make sure you are not taking any blood thinners or allergic to anti inflammatories).
I am sure it will heal up with the above mentioned medications but if not then certainly you need to see your GP to have a look and proceed further.
