Swelling In The Hands And Vomiting After Exercising. What Is Wrong?

when i exercise or even if im just out in the heat for too long my whole body will start to swell. I dont really sweat, my skin will get sticky but thats about it. the swelling is most noticeable in my hands and it actually hurts. i turn bright red to the point people think i have a serious sunburn. my head starts to pound and it almost feels like my blood thickens(i dont really know how else to descride the feeling) and i can feel it pulsing through my whole body.i get nauseated and sometime even throw up. i try to cool down by taking a cold shower but this only helps a little and it can take an hour to cool all the way back down. I have kidney disease so i know how important it is to stay hydrated and not over heat and watch my bp. this happens whether im walking the neighborhood (i live in fl so it can get pretty hot) or im in the air conditioned gym. this makes it really diffecult to exercise long enough to get any benefit out of it.

Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Hello.
Thanks for writing to us.
The swelling in the hands and vomiting after an exercise could be related to an electrolyte imbalance in the body or dehydration. Exercising heavily on an empty stomach can also cause such symptoms.
