Swelling In Hands And Feet. Taken Tylenol, Ibuprofen For Bruised Toe. Side Effects Of Medicine?

My 17 year old son has begun having swelling of his hands and feet. Recently he was put on tylenol 3 and ibuprofen 800mg to relief a bruised large toe, due to skateboarding. Could either of those medicines cause such a reaction? Or do you think he has another allergy? He doesn't claim to have been bitten by any insect. His diet has been the same for years and is like most teenagers.

HI
Thank for asking to HCM
If the swelling is generalized then it may be due to the drug ( Fix drug reaction) and if the swelling is not generalized then we have to think for infection part, as such history of injury is there, did he sensitive to some drug are there any previous history of drug sensitivity ? it is some what very mixing kind of picture, I would advise you to stop the drugs first wait for couple of days, it may go away if the reason is drug, if it persistence then the clinical examination would needed, have nice day
