Swelling About The Size Of An Apple.What Could It Be ?

i fell off an engine onboard ship 8months ago went to the doc onboard who just looked at it and said it was just bruised but never x rayed it 8months later and the swelling is still there about the size of an apple, not sore but tender to touch in places. should i get this re checked out and what could it be

You have not mentioned the location of swelling and whether it is hard and hot to touch or it is soft. since when are you feeling it to be tender. As a lapse of eight months is reported it calls for proper examination.

Hello Dear,

There is "NO" question of thinking that you should not get it rechecked. Definately you should. As, it simply hows that the injury : bony or a soft tissue one has not been taken care till date and the daily use of that part is hampering the recovery rate.

So definately it requires proper investigation & treatment.
