Surgical Abortion Due To Missed Miscarriage, Unprotected Sex. Positive Pregnancy Test. Pregnant?
I had a surgical abortion on June 30th, due to a missed miscarriage . Had unprotected sex two weeks after the procedure. I have been testing weekly with HPT to get an idea of where my HCG levels are. Between this week and last week, the positive line on the HPT doesn t appear to have changed at all. What can I make of this? It has almost been four weeks since the surgery....

HCG levels take about 2-3 weeks to come down after the abortion. It is advisable to have protected sex until the next period. Usually, menstruation will be delayed after an abortion up to 8 weeks. I suggest you to have a regular HPT testing and also consult your doctor for a checkup. Take care.
