Surgeries For Sphincter
I need to go to my gastro specialist but need a referral from my primary. I have had 2 surgeries for sphincter of oddi and I am have severe pain and discomfort. I have lost 20 lbs over the last 3-4 months. My primary wants to start testing all over because he is getting normal lab results. I have been through this before and believe that if I can get to my gastro, he can settle out what is wrong. How can I get directly to him if the primary won t refer me?

You will have to explain your problem to the primary as your problem can only be solved by the gastro specialist who has operated you. Also, it is common to lose such a considerable weight after a gastro surgery.
