Sunburnt Shoulders, Back, Arms. Blotchy Sunburn On Lower Legs With Soreness Spreading To Calves, Shins. On Travel. Advice
I was on a boat trip and now am sunburnt on my shoulders, back and arms, but these are like normal sunburn and have already started to go down. However when I came back after dinner that night I noticed my lower legs had also become burnt, but on further investigation the "sunburn" is very blotchy and sore unlike the rest of the areas that were burnt. The sunburn rash has started to slightly spread up my calves and shins. I am in Thailand traveling at the moment.
I can understand your concern. 1. Avoid further exposure to sunlight anyway during your trip at Thailand hereafter. 2.If it is not much irritating application of some vegetable oil or soothening creams will be sufficient. 3.If it has blisters then you have apply some antibacterial creams with mild steroids will help you. 4.If it is more severe consult a physician nearby. You may need antibiotics and fluid replacements. 5. Consume plenty of fluids. you will be alright soon. Dr S.murugan
