Sunburn on forehead after camping and canoeing, increased swelling on the sunburn site and eyes. Remedy?

I was out camping and canoeing with my family this past weekend. I ended up getting sunburned on my forehead . Went to the ER last night, but the swelling is much worse today. I have taken Ibuprophen, aspirin , an antihistamine, intaking of fluids, and applying cold compress. I am scared. My eyes are almost completely swollen shut.

Few important points to be done in case of sun burns

1. Cold Sponging

2. Use some good sunscreens at least with an SPF of 20 or above thrice daily to prevent further sunburns and it has to be applied atleast half an hour before going out in sun

3. if the burn is moderately severe then must consult a dermatologist nearby before applying anything on face. in my opinion you need a short course of systemic steroids under antibiotic coverage that will help to reduce the inflamation and swelling around the eyes. it will also take care of the acute sun damage.

4. please do not take advise from QUACKS or chemists.
