Suggested to take calcium supplements and arachitol injections. Dosage?

Hi, My name is Sumit Poddar. My wife, 30 years old, is suffering from slipped disc and muscular pains. Her Vitamin D3 level is 17 and has been advised Arachitol Injections (0000 IU) once every fortnight for 3 weeks (total 3 injections) and oral calcium supplements daily. Can you please advise regarding the dosage of the injection and calcium supplements ?

Thanks for query on HCM.
Calcium supplements are taken by individuals who are unable to get enough calcium in their regular diet or who have a need for more calcium due to some abnormal conditions.
Daily dose for calcium is from 500 mg. to 1200 mg. and also depends upon content of elemental calcium.
Calcium supplements may also be used for other conditions as determined by your doctor.
Initial dose of d3 is 6ok every week for eight week but your doctor is the right person to judge the actual required dose according to your condition.
Keep in touch with your doctor.
Milk, banana, ragi, broccoli is the rich source of calcium.
Dose can be reduced after proper dietary calcium intake.
Also go for morning sun bath to increase the d3 level naturally.
