Suggest Ways To Prevent Pregnancy After Intercourse

Hi doc, may i ask how can i avoid pregnancy. I had sex with my girlfriend last week and she said that her breast are getting sore. But pass few days we bought a pregnancy tester and the results are negative. We havent plan to have baby yet. Please doc

Hello dear
Understand your concern
First you have to wait for period to come. If period will delay by 8-10 days then again go for home pregnancy test and or blood HCG to confirm the pregnancy.
If pregnancy test will give positive result then confirm the intrauterine pregnancy by USG scan to terminate the pregnancy.
It should be prevent/terminate by using mifepristone and misoprostol under the advice and supervision of gynaecologist up to 9 week of pregnancy.
Do not use abortion pills at home as self medication as it cause serious adverse health effects like excessive bleeding and incomplete abortion that should be treated by surgery.
By procedure, mifepristone 600 mg should be followed by misoprostol 400 ug vaginally by gynecologist. If no induce abortion then another 400 ug should be given after 4 hour.
Post abortion USG scan should be done to confirm the completeness process of abortion.

Other option for terminate the pregnancy is surgical process like suction evacuation.
