Hello Doc,
I am getting married soon and unfortunately my wedding date is clashing with my periods.I want to delay my periods by a week and want a safe way to do it.I am afraid if delaying periods with pills may cause any trouble in my natural cycle or later in future. Please help.

Hi,
As a physician I would like to telly you that you could use tablet Primolut-N 10 mg. You can use it to delay your periods if your cycle is regular then start taking it from 3 days before your expected period till you want to delay the periods and after you will leave them, periods will commence within 3-7 days.It is taken as 10 mg at night till you want to delay your periods. You should not use it for more than 10-12 days.

I understand your concern. You can use pill that contain noreethisterone 5 mgStart pill 3 days before normal expected period date. Continue till you do not want period (maximum 14 days). Take it twice daily at specific day. Period will occur 5-7 days after stopping pill. It does not create problem in future and sometime next period will be delayed as it cause hormonal imbalance.Avoid stress, take healthy diet, drink plenty of water. So you can take Norethisterone safely to delay period.
