Suggest Ways To Determine Whether Fracture On Second Metatarsal Bone Has Healed

Stress fracture on my second metatarsal. MRI over two months ago showed that it started to heal. I think I got the fracture because my feet are flat and I wasn t wearing orthotics. Now I m wearing sneakers with my new custom orthotics most of the time. When I m wearing my sneakers my foot does not hurt. I thought vionic sandals and sometimes when I wear them I don t experience pain but the next day I will get a spasm because I wore different shoes.I also get tingling and weird sensations, especially in the evening. That s when I try to keep my feet up.Question: could my foot still have the stress fracture? How do I know that it is healed or healing? Crazy symptoms.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

You can simply go for an MRI scan to check whether the fracture is healed or not.

It might have healed most probably.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain,
