I have an extreme craving for certain blends of shredded cheese. I can eat a 20 oz bag within 2 days and I carry a bag with me to work. I know I must be lacking something in my body but why is it so extreme now (within the past 3 months) and how can I get rid of it??? BTW, I just turned 55 years old in March.
Habitual eating is quite common and generaly is NOT associated with particular nutritional deficits. Cheese is a lot of calories but toherwise is pretty healthy. THe salt of the cheese is a pretty standard craving and is why other people eat less healthy things like potato chips. If the overall calorie count isn't bad I'm not sure why one has to limit it.
