Suggest Way To Heal Ulcer In Food Pipe Without Endoscopy

I have an Ulcer in my food pipe. Its been over 2 months now and it still has not healed, it gives me pain in the center of my back and and the chest. Its quite irritating. I was on medication aimed at reducing the acidity of my stomach juices but, is there no way of healing of the ulcer directly and also can an endoscopy be avoided?

Welcome to Healthcare Magic. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

If this is the esophagus ulcer, due to reflux acid, then it get healed with proper treatment. This takes four to six weeks in healing. If this is not being healed in this period, then it has to be ruled out for malignant disease and for that biopsy needed, you can discuss this with your doctor. Ideally such ulcer can be treated with Tab Omeprazole 40 mg once in day. If infection is there, then antibiotic can be added like Amoxicillin 500 mg three times in day. Diet also need to be changed like avoiding spicy food and oily food. Also, avoiding smoking, alcohol and coffee would help a lot.
