Suggest Treatments For Stone In Gall Bladder

Hi am mamita my mother is a diabetic and she is also have hypertension...3 days ago she was diagnosed of having a stone on his gallbladder with a 0.7cm she got pain on her right abdomen going to her back...my mom is already 78yrs old...and she have abdominal pain the dr gave her rabepamide (muscosta 100mg)and omeprazole 40mg ...pls give advise she can undergo operation to remove the stone on her gallbladder...n what will be the side effect...or any medicines u can recommend to remove the stone on her gallbladder....thanks

gall bladder is only removed when stone cause pain or obstructive jaundice. if your mother is having repeated pain that is unbearable then she should get her bladder removed. long term complications aren't much except for mild indigestion problems and in diabetics there is high risk of infection post op. if the pain isn't causing much trouble then it's better to not go for surgery.
