Suggest Treatments For Recurrent Migraines

I have taken beta blockers for years (propanalol 80mg) to prevent migraines. I have had two in the last two months which were totally out of the blue and just as they always have done, have included the numbness and speech difficulties. What mediacation should I take to prevent them if the beta blockers seem to not be working, please? I am female and 42 tears old.

Hi
Welcome to HealthcareMagic

I went through the history you are having chronic migraine with recurrent episodes and these are not responding to treatment by the use of beta blockers.
Hence you need to go for examination to confirm the diagnosis and if the diagnosis is migraine only then other group of drugs like flunarizine can be tried.

Do consult your doctor for examination and treatment accordingly depending on the underlying cause.
Do write back to me for further questions.

Hope this is helpful yo you.

Thank you
