hi I am 49 old next month in July I will 50 . I never had kids before. now I want to get pregnant, how can I do it. I have irregular period every 2 months or every months when it comes last 5 days. but if comes after 2 months it last 7 - 10 days. I have regular sex. what the risks of getting pregnant at this age for me & for the baby and how fast to get pregnant. when should I have sex after my period if I want to get pregnant. Thank you

I understand your concern.
Considering your age, pregnancy by natural means might not be possible for the following reasons:
1. Ovarian reserves and quality of ovum decreases as age advances.
2. Menstrual cycle would cease by age of 50 years called as 'menopause'.
Hence, the only means by which you can conceive would be by means of assisted reproductive technique like Invitro Fertilization (IVF), following evaluation as to your hormonal status and ovarian reserves.
Kindly consult Infertility specialist for clinical evaluation and management.
