Hi, i am 28 yrs old lady with one 2 year old daughter. my TSH level has incresed by 5.59mlU/L. how safe it is? secondly, i want to conceive for second baby, what precautions should i take? what medicines and excersice or food suppliments i should take to bring it to normal?
Hello, I read your concern and understood your query. If you are trying to conceive it is very important to correct the TSH level before. You should modify the treatment (as recommended by your treating physician) and check the TSH level 4 weeks later. When you have reached levels lower than 2.5 mUi/L than you will be able to try to conceive. You should monitor the TSH monthly during pregnancy. Hope i have been helpful. Kind regards, Dr.Mirjeta
