Hi,

Talk to him and ask him if he needs any help in quitting tobacco. There are medicines available which can help reduce the craving for tobacco and make it easier to quit. Paan without tobacco can also be harmful as it contains some harmful chemicals which increase one's risk of developing cancer. Tell your husband that quitting tobacco will improve his diabetes control as well. Once he is willing to accept that he has a problem and ready to take help, consult a doctor so that medicines can be started.

Best wishes.
