Suggest Treatment To Get Rid Of Acne

I am suffering from acne from last 3-4 yrs...when i take medicine ( doxycycline), it gets treated but when i stop it acne breakout happens. Usually it breakout aftr every 3-4 months, also when i eat outside or in hot weather. So i have stopped eating almost everything outside. But still it occurs every now n then.used clindamycin gel also bt not for long....want to get a permanent solution for it. My digestive system is also bit weak. From past 1 year it had started happening on my scalp also from where it spreads to my back...am using aloe vera from plant directly which helps little..but is effective in scars n spots removing. Looking forward for a good response vd effective treatment. Thanks

Hi,

Pimples can occur due to causes like:
- Clogged pores
- Oily skin
- Hormonal Imbalances
- Bacterial infection
- Inflammation
- Excess sun exposure etc.
On the other hands dark or black spots left on face seems to be due to post inflammatory hyperpigmentation that occurs due to pimples. You should consult a Dermatologist and get evaluated and he can advise you to wash your face with Salicylic acid containing face wash.

Apply topical ointment containing Clindamycin and Benzoyl Peroxide. Apply retinoids like Adapelene gel in thin layer on pimples at night time. Do cool compresses over face. Exfoliate your face twice a week to unclog the pores and remove dead skin. You can also apply a sunscreen lotion when exposed to sun.

Oral Medication like antibiotics like Clindamycin or Minocycline and retinoid like Isotretinoin can also be advised. Avoid oily food. For dark spots apply creams containing Kojic Acid, Glycolic Acid and Arbutin. Vitamin E gel can be applied at night. Azelic acid preparations are helpful. You can also go for treatment like Microdermabrasion and chemical peeling.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
