Hello!

Welcome and thank you for asking on HCM!

I understand your concern and would explain that your total cholesterol/HDL ratio is 6.9 (very high), which means that you are at a high risk for cardio-vascular disease (including coronary artery disease, possible stroke, etc).

Besides your plasma levels of transaminases are really high. I recommend consulting with a gastro enterologist for a physical examination, further liver and kidney function tests and an abdominal ultrasound.

These changes may be related to alcohol intake. I strongly recommend you to stop taking alcohol, to prevent further damage to your liver.

I recommend making some modifications to your lifestyle:

-avoit fatt food and highly absorbed sugar in food (sweets, fast food)
- increase omega 3 food (fish, white meat, nuts, etc)
- perform a lot of physical activity (aerobics and walking are recommended)
- lose weight, if your are overweight
- stop smoking and taking alcohol.

A stating (atorvastatin, simvastatin, etc) could be necessary to help your reduce cholesterol levels.

Hope to have been helpful!

Best regards,

Dr. Iliri
