Suggest Treatment To Control Bladder For A Stroke Victim

Yes a problem with bladder control but only when I first wake up in the morning or from a nap. I am a stroke victim and do not move very fast. The stroke was 11 years ago and the bladder problem started a couple of monts ago. I am taking meds for it but still have the problem. During the day when I am awake I do not have a problem getting to the bathroom on time to go.

Geriatrics Specialist 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for asking.
Based on your clinical history and query, my opinion is as follows:
1. Bladder training is necessary. No medication is required, as at present you do not have urinary incontinence.
2. Avoid fluids in excess, when going to sleep.
3. You can slowly train yourself in early morning or as you cannot move fast, you can use bed pan.
Hope it helps.
Any further queries, happy to help again.
