Suggest Treatment To Be Taken For Dog S Bite Apart From Anti Tetanus Injection

my neighbor,s dog just bit me on my palm and there was a little bleeding . i visited the doc and he gave me a anti titanus injection , i washed the wound with soap and water and bleeding stopped . the dog is a pet dog . do i need further treatment doctor?

I share your concerns. In my opinion you should take antirabies vaccines too. Since rabies doesn't have any cure once you get it, it is always better to be over cautious than avoiding vaccination. Anti tetanus is also required. So please request your doctor for antirabies vaccination. Even if it is pet dog or immunised, I would strongly recommend antirabies vaccination. It is a seven doses vaccine.
