Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am a 25 year old female and have had rectal bleeding for a little over a month now. I had had bleeding off and on for the past couple of years, but it has never lasted this long and the bleeding has increased quite a bit. The only medications I am on are birthcontrol and recently adderall.
As per your query you are sufering from rectal bleeding and you are on birth controling pills . Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mentionin query like :_ - Anal fissure (tear in the skin of the anus) - Chronic constipation - Hard stools - Hemorrhoids
I would suggest you to drink plenty of water throughout the day , add fresh vegetables and fruits in your diet , avoid fried and spicy food and take some laxative like psyllium husk . Consult gastroenterologist for proper examination . Doctor may order blood sample test , endoscopy of gastrointestinal track and physical examination . Doctor may prescribe antibiotics , anti inflammatory and recommend heat therapy .
Hope your concern has been resolved.
