General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

After going through your query, I can say that if neck pain has resolved then directly stop it. If the pain has been not resolved then switch to tablet ibuprofen for 15 days only. Take advice from your treating doctor for a better alternative. Take hot water compression. Have some physiotherapy exercise for relaxing neck muscles and relief from pain.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
