Suggest Treatment For Whooping Cough

Hello my son has had a very bad cough since last week he has been still eating but not much has been keeping fluids up he has been to the doctor and been on antibiotic for swollen eardrums should I be worried about whooping cough he does say it hurts when he coughs.

Thanks for your question on HCM. Since your son is on antibiotics and not improvingplus cougthere, I suggest you to go for chest x ray. We have to rule out lung infection first. If chest x ray is clear than I think you should consult ENT surgeon for any upper respiratory tract pathology. Meanwhile you can start cough supressant like anti histamine. Also give him anti inflaminflammatory drugs to relieve edema.
