That little line under my tongue was sore these past few days I started to notice this white discoloration today I looked again and noticed the white discoloration started to grow is size so I took it upon myself to pinch it off it came off really easy but I just don t know what this was can you give me better insight to what this was
Whitish discoloration of curdy consistency is suggestive of oral candidiasis, a yeast infection that usually comes due to decreased immunity or poor oral hygiene or use of inhalational steroid medications. It presents with soreness and burning sensation of the tongue.
It could also be a salivary gland infection with white discharge from the ducts.
It is advised that you see an ENT specialist or an oral pathologist to have this evaluated.
