Suggest Treatment For Weight Gain

I am a twenty seven year old male, I have only one problem I often get laughed at by people when I walk across a street because I have a very thin frame. My body is thin but my legs stand out the most especially when I am walking and people stare, point and evem laugh at how I look, I have lost all my self-esteem even at school I am a loner and I often hide myself from the public eye and try to blend in with the background rather than stick out, please suggest some miracle cure for me don t tell about my diet or any weight training, none of that works

Hello,

Do not bother about how people react on seeing you. Learn to ignore. everyone walking in the street does not have a perfect body structure or gait. Stop being conscious of yourself & be happy & confident of what you look like. Self esteem is important, learn to value yourself. Your value doesn't decrease based on someones inability to see your worth. Never underestimate yourself.

Make sure you dress properly. Make the right choice of the clothes you wear. Personality & gait matter. Make sure you carry yourself well. To gain weight you have to avoid stress & anxiety, cut on addictions if any. Do regular exercises & walking. Take care of your looks, make sure your look presentable & smart.

Food that will help to gain weight are buckwheat, all kinds of rice, chickpeas, milk- butter-eggs-dairy products, bananas, high protein diet (red meat), dried fruits, whole wheat and cereals, fats/oils, cheese, pasta, etc. You need to keep yourself well hydrated & active. Take adequate sleep. Sleep matters. You are suggested to get a routine health check up done to rule out any disease causing you not to gain weight.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Nupur K., General & Family Physician
