Suggest Treatment For Watery Stools

Hi, I was diagnosed in an ER this week with Ileis. I was getting better but tonight the watery stools are back, going 3 times in under two hours. My question is: I only drink decaf tea but am I ruining my recovery with herbal tea (peppermint, chamolle, etc?

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

Peppermint tea, chamomile or ginger tea should be okay because these have been shown to be very useful in the treatment of gastrointestinal complaints.

They should not be impeding your recovery in any way.

If you have started using solid food, you may need to halt this because your intestines do not seem to be ready for digesting solids.
Use only liquids and also use probiotics because these have been shown to help speed up healing.

They can be used either on their own or in certain yogurts.

Medication such as peptobismol may also help to calm the stomach and intestines.

I hope this helps
