Suggest Treatment For Watery Nose, Sneezing And Nose Blocks In The Mornings

I am suffering from some allergy since last 2 years.. continuous sneezing during early morning hours.. watery nose, nose block are too much irritating & effect on complete day routine. I have tried cetrizine various times but again drowsiness caught me every time. Till the time centrizine is working in body... its fine but problem is recurring again & again.. i have chosen homeopaty as well. Is there any permanent solution to this? Some good friend (medical) has suggested me telekast- l. Is it safe to take that medicine? For how much time... i am having this problem due to duat, seasonal change etc.

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. Well the symptoms you mention in query such as watery nose, sneezing and nose blocks in the mornings are due to sinusitis which is infection in the sinuses in which linning if the sinus become inflamed and produce mucus. Need not to worry. I would suggest you to first of all consult ENT specialist for proper treatment of sinusitis as infection will lower your immunity. You can go for blood test as well. Doctor may prescribe antibiotics (amoxicillin) for at least 10 days , decongestants and antihistamines. If sinusitis is ruled out antibiotics, anti inflammatory medicines, decongestants, saline irrigation, steroid nasal spray and steam inhalation will help you.
