Suggest Treatment For Watery Eyes And Swelling Around Nose And Eyes

my daughter is really congested I really thought it was just a cold however this time her eyes are watering and she has a little bit of swelling around nose and eyes. She seems to itch her nose and pull at her hair ...what can I give her to help her ? I m starting to wonder if it s allergies I have tried vapo-rub running a humidifier for two nights now and cycling motrin and Tylenol nothing has helped should I try an allergy relief medicine what about the recommended?

Hello and welcome to HCM,
Watery eyes, swelling around eyes and nose is suggestive of allergy.
Allergy can be controlled symptomatically with anti-histaminic drugs.
However, this is only symptomatic treatment.
The symptoms will recur once the drug is withdrawn.
Thus, the cause of allergy has to be determined.
Do the symptoms occur seasonally?
Some allergies are seasonal and are mainly due to exogenous allergens like dust, pollen, etc.
Food allergies mainly cause symptoms pertaining to the gastrointestinal tract.
Thus, the symptoms are suggestive of allergy to exogenous allergens.
I suggest you to consult a pulmonologist for clinical assessment, relevant investigations and thus management.
