Hello and welcome to healthcaremagic

One of the side effects of melanocyl is phototoxicity, which can present as pain and burning sensation associated with deep erythema, blistering and subsequent post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation. Obviously standing for such a long time in the sun after melanocyl application would lead to phototoxicity, and that is what exactly happened to you.

If I was the treating doctor, I would have advised you to use a moderately potent steroid like mometasone, twice daily rather than hydrocortisone aceponate (which is milder steroid) in order to lighten post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation.

regards
