Hello and thank you for using HCgM.I carefully read your question and I understand your concern.
You should not worry about.
I will try to explain you something and give you my opinion.
You should know that cholesterol target levels depends on some factors like your age and other associated rics factors like
hypertension,
diabetes,
smoking and hereditary history of
high cholesterol levels.
The fact that you have hereditary history of high cholesterol levels means that you might have hereditary
dyslipidemia. This means that you had a genetic factors that keeps your cholesterol high.
In this cases, in genetic dyslipidemia the only way remains medical treatment for cholesterol.
Even though, as you are very young, if I was your treating doctor I will recommend as a first step dietary changes.
I would recommend to avoid fast food, pizzas, white bread, sweeties and increase vegetables and start regular physical activity minimaly 40 minutes walking every day.
If you dont have results after 3 months of dietary changes than soon you should start medical treatment.
Hope I was helpfull .
Best regards, Dr.Ervina.
