Suggest Treatment For Ventricular Septal Defect
my newborn grandson 37 weeker has a ventricular septal defect very small they say he weighs at two days old just under 6lbs. went home as planned seems well but following up with ped dr in 6 days an echo confirmed this while in the hospital. how dangerous is this? i read than can close on their own. what is the soonest we can expect that? and if it is small i read that they don't usually fix them, that still sounds dangerous?

Here the measurement of defect is not given here, if this is small one then this would come around on its one and no need to worry about this, if there is no clinical symptoms then why to worry, because the big opening gives obvious clinical symptoms and that would need immediate medical attention, hope this helps.
