Suggest Treatment For Uterine Fibroids

I am 39 years old and I have two kids. I was diagnosed with uterine fibroids last year and was told that I would need a myomectomy in order to get pregnant. On 7-10-2017 my period came on for two days with just spotting. Normally it s heavy. I took several pregnancy tests which came back negative. I it too soon to get accurate results from a pregnancy test? Or could it be due to the fibroids or early menopause?
