Suggest Treatment For Urinary Infection

Hi, GM, my family member is a diabetic patient and seems to be having urine infection resulting in fever for last couple of days. He is on antibiotics, alongwith other medicines , however the fever is still continuing. Please suggest who would be the best doctor whom we can connect with. We are based out of Kolkata, West Bengal.

Hi,

As he is diabetic so is more susceptible to infections.

You have taken drugs but fever is yet to resolve so better would be to take her emergency room.

She may be required for urine culture test and accordingly, a selective antibiotic can be initiated. Moreover, being diabetic we need to check whether kidney is functioning well. So better is report to the emergency room for proper treatment planning.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
