Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have been having upset stomach for over a month. I get a stomach ache and when I go it is yellow and clay like. Then I am fine until the next day. Sometimes have a pain in the middle of my abdomen for a day. I haven t had a normal BM in over a month. Eating okay, nothing new or different. Feeling a little extra tired.
Hello I really appreciate your concern Looking at your description I would advise you to take antiacidity medicines like pantoprazole or ranitidine group of drugs with antacids for 3 to 5 days. Have lots of fresh fruits and vegetables as well as dietary fibers. Take plenty of fluids 3 to 4 liters a day to maintain good hydration. No smoking or alcohol consumption. Exercise as much you can comfortably do.
If it doesn't help with all these measures than I would advise you to consult a gastroenterologist for stool test, liver function test and an ultrasound or endoscopy if need be and further course if action.
Hope I could answer your question. Best wishes
