Suggest Treatment For Upper Thigh Pain

I have been walking 2 miles, 5 days a week for 4 weeks. Age 54, 160 lbs. I have suddenly started having upper thigh pain in the back of my leg, almost like a cramp. No swelling or bruising. I have not hit it. I sit all day at work, that is why I try to walk 4-5 evenings a week. Never had this pain before. It also feels like the leg that is hurting is longer than the other leg. Does not start hurting until about 2:00 p.m. until I go to sleep at night which is around midnight.

Hi
Welcome to healhcaremagic
After going through your query I concluded that you are having muscular pain in your thigh and hips as you are feeling pain in back of thigh. You are feeling that your affected limb is lengthened, it means there affection at hip joint. Treatment of it is rest and icing. Analgesic such as ibuprofen is helpful as it relieve pain and reduce swelling. You can get MRI of hip and lumbar spine to further investigate it. You can discuss your doctor about it. Hope your query get answered. If you have any clarification then please don't hesitate to write to us. I will be happy to answer your queries. You can also write to me directly on below link:
