Suggest Treatment For Upper Respiratory Tract Infection

My son just found mold in a plastic ice tea jug. Ive been drinking small amounts of this tea for 10 days. I am currently being treated for a sinus infection, after being down with an upper resp tract crud for 4 weeks. I have been on Augmentin for 7 days now, no better, and my tonsils are starting to look worse, swollen and the small white collection of stuff. I am 61 and have had poor tonsils my entire life. Just wondering since Im on the antibiotic if something else is going on? Any way drinking this tea with some mold in it is causing this situation to persist or worsen? if so can I treat it, even if proactively, without going back to the Doc and running a culture, which will take more time. Thx, Mike in Wa.

ENT Specialist 's  Response
Hi, thanks for your query.
As per your history, continue your Pennicillin antibiotics. This will take care of the infection.
If symptoms persists, then get blood work and throat swab for culture and sensitivity. Hope my answers have helped you. Thanks.
