I have surgical staples left in the chest and side from breast cancer surgery. These things have bothered me ever since. Every time I ask a doctor for help in getting these removed, they look at me like I m crazy. I have so much discomfort right now in my upper left chest area that I am concerned. I know that these staples can work through the mass and skin. It happened to my grandmother. I live close to the Cleveland Clinic but I cannot even get a surgeon to reply to my phone calls. Do you have any suggestions for me? thank you
