Suggest Treatment For Upper Back Pain

I ve been having back pain ever since I started my job working at a hotel. I work 3rd shift and I stand upright or sit most of the night. The pain is located in the upper left side of my back and hurts the most when I take deep breaths. I ve tried getting it massaged out and stretching, but nothing is making it go away. I nurse recommended that I take an anti-inflammatory drug and even after a few days of use it didn t seem to work at all. Is there anyone out there who can possibly help me identify the cause of the pain and recommend treatments?

HI

Greetings from Dr.Divakara.P

Your pain seems most likely due to muscular spasm. You have not mentioned since how long you are having this pain. Kindly let me know that.

I advise you to get a prescription of muscle relaxants which will relieve the spasm in the muscles. Use it for 4-5 days and don't do any exertional activity .

If the pain still persists you need to get MRI scan of your back .

Hope this information was useful to you.
Any clarification feel free to ask .
