Suggest Treatment For Uncontrolled Epilepsy

yes please - I am a 40 years old male suffering my epilipeptic seizures for quiet some time now - since class 5 - earlier I was on Dilantin which made me lot drowsy - then i went on homeopathy naem of medicine I do not remember - the seizures were controlled - i then stopped taking the medicines - there was another seizure I had when I was overseas studying - recently I had a seizure at my office which lasted for minutes like others - I was given bydoctor to take Desavel ER 500 - I had another seizure when I was driving and the doctor increased the dosage to Desavel ER 750 and had told me not to drive the vehicle - just yesterday I had another seizure

I read your question carefully and I understand your concern.

I don't know of a drug called Desavel, I am assuming you meant Desval. It is one of the most common and effective drugs for seizure treatment. It seems that it is not effective for you though at least in the current dosage.

However I believe that dosage is a low one so there is place to further increase the dose which can go as high as 2500 mg a day.

If increasing the dose does not work or causes you side effects there are many other drugs which can be more effective and you can try such as levetiracetam, lamotrigine, carbamazepine etc.
